33 Birthday and First 1/2 Marathon!

My first 1/2 results: 2:08:18.8 at a 9:48/M which is a lot faster than I thought I could do 13.1 miles!!! I told Troy I'd be in between 2:15 and 2:30... so 2:08 was GREAT for me and I am very proud of myself. I have surrounded myself with GREAT women that inspire me to push myself to my limits and make me want to do better. It was a great birthday! Everyone should run a race on their birthday! :)

Steph made this sign for my back that I ran about 1/2 the race with. It was GREAT to hear "Happy Birthday" over and over as I ran. But when I got hot I didn't have it on my back anymore :( Thanks Steph!


This is Danielle and I - she was a great help in the Sat. morning training! She high-fived me ever time I ran in at the training! She's a great new running friend!

What a great day!

It's T-Ball time!!!

This past weekend was the start of the T-Ball season for Jacey! It started off kind of rocky the night before when I was prepping her that you have to wear white pants. The white showed her panties (which she was not happy about) and the fact that they were pants she totally didn't understand why that was necessary because she can run really fast in a skirt! As you can tell in the shots she was shortly on the orange team and then on the green team! Long story. Troy took her, alone, with both girls (what a great dad!) because I had training for the 1/2 marathon I am doing on my birthday so I couldn't be there to help him. I was extremely bummed! He didn't mess the team identification up - he just felt more comfortable on a different team and one of his old college buddies is the coach of Jacey's new green team which is a nice that we know him and that we know he's a great coach and person. And to make matters even better Jason, a boy from preschool, is on her team and he was very happy to see a friendly face! Which made Troy so proud that our daughter is so well liked by others. Jacey informed me that little boy in orange, holding Jacey's hand (with the coach), in the picture is the boy that is going to teach her and help her. I asked her if the coach was going to do that - and she said, "no that guy is!" She's a character. She is pretty excited to play - I just hope she enjoys it as much as dance!
